Patrick Mellor

Patrick founded Carbocene as an independent home for living plant-biotechnology research. He previously co-founded Living Carbon and served as its chief technology officer, helping build work in enhanced photosynthesis, biological carbon storage, plant transformation, greenhouse research, and field development. His background also includes paleobiology, philosophy, and the study of living systems across deep time. At Carbocene, he serves as Executive Director and leads biological programs.

Joseph Haddad

Joseph Haddad is a young scientist and recent graduate who has supported Carbocene Industries's laboratory and horticultural activities, as well assisting in protocol design. Joseph played an integral role in the design and construction of the Carbocene greenhouse.

Joseph has also contributed to Open Insulin’s laboratory operations , this includes but is not limited to microbe cultivation, protein secretion, and measuring protein concentration.
